I used to suffer from achy feet, lower back pain, headaches, stiff and sore joints, even muscle pains on a regular basis. As a young man, and even through my early adulthood, I was plagued with constant shooting back pain that kept me sidelined from activities I loved. Pickup basketball after work? Forget it. Salsa dancing with my wife? The pain kept me off the dance floor.
I tried everything – acupuncture, chiropractors, muscle relaxers, massages – you name it. Nothing worked for me. I was so desperate for relief, that I was close to having a pretty serious surgery, which I was told had a 50-50 chance of working or making the problem much worse. Deep down inside – I was terrified, and didn’t know what to do.
However, a few days before having to make the decision on the surgery, a friend let me in on this little-known secret. He had just come back from a 3-month backpacking trip in Asia, and filled me in on his adventures as we chatted over lunch. He explained that he was walking miles and miles each day while exploring, and that he too developed some bad muscle aches and shin splints. While exploring some ancient remedies in one of the markets, a vendor showed him these odd insoles that have been used for centuries in Asia.
The secret is in the specific alignment of the prongs, which target key acupressure points in the feet. He also noticed there were magnets strategically placed around the insole. The local merchant explained that by placing the magnets improve blood flow in underlying tissue and relieve the everyday stress that is placed on the body.
He wore them all around Asia and was amazed at the transformation he experienced. He felt like he had more energy, a clearer mind, and better posture.
Luckily for me, he had even brought back a second pair. After everything else I had tried over the years, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t skeptical. In fact, I pretty much dismissed this “ancient secret” right off the bat. I took them home (mostly to be nice to him) with the intention of letting them collect dust in the back of my closet.
However, the following day as I was getting dressed, I saw them sitting on the floor and decided, “what the heck.” I had nothing to lose except (hopefully) my back pain, and I figured this would be better than having to pay hundreds for expensive orthotics which would make me walk funny for months. So, I slipped them into my sneakers and headed out the door.
What happened over the next 3 months improved my quality of life. I kept a daily journal, and wrote down some notes on my progression while wearing these insoles:
First day: Feels a bit odd, I do feel the prongs, but by the end of the day they were hardly noticeable.
Second day: Noticed I got a great night sleep for the first time in a long time. I feel well-rested. Unsure if the insoles are working?
End of first week: I have significantly more energy, a bounce in my step, and have been getting less headaches (still not sure if there is a correlation though). I’m getting used to wearing them. They feel much more comfortable now than the first day!
Two week: I no longer feel the need for the daily Advil I was taking. The pain in my back has subsided to just an occasional throb here and there, and I have been walking more. I’ve even noticed that I’m comfortable standing for longer periods of time.
One Month: I’m sitting straighter, and have next to no back pain at all. I feel I have a clear mind, less headaches, and basically no muscle pain. My wife is amazed by the transformation she’s seen in me, and says I look like I’m back in my college days. We’ve gone back to dancing and having more date nights. No more staying at home due to my pain. I am a believer!
I am happy to share that 3 months after being introduced to this strange acupressure insole, I am no longer complaining about everyday back pain and headaches that has plagued me for the majority of my adulthood. My wife and I are in regular Salsa dance classes, and I am even getting out on the blacktop with my colleagues for basketball 2x per week. I went from miserable to relieved, all because I was lucky and my friend brought me a pair of these insoles. I finally have the time to live my life the way I want.
I recently found a company that started selling them online, and I decided to buy a 5-pack for my friends and family. I’d been getting non-stop comments on my extra energy, improved posture, and my healthier appearance so I thought, “why not show them my secret?” The best thing is that these insoles have customizable sizing and fit both men and women so all my family members can use them! They were such a steal at only $38.99, and it didn’t require me to make another costly visit to the podiatrist and waste hundreds of dollars on special orthotics again.
Last time I checked they were running low on stock. I would check here and see if they still have any available. If they do, I strongly suggest buying a few pairs at least! If they work, please let me know in the comments below.
